The aftermath of an affair when Don Newell, planning to break off with- or kill off, Paula Ranier, finds that another man has been ahead of him- but cannot evade the suspicion of Henry Hinge, the research man on the T.V. show he scripts. In a polite parlor game of spider and fly, Newell is the victim of Hinge's calculated attempt to unnerve and destroy him, reverses the hand with an eleventh hour enlightenment. A video montage for invidious activities which manage a slick suspense.
