DEATH GOES NATIVE

Publisher: Lippincott

The setting is a small Hawaiian island inhabited by a colony of whites gone native, including some bohemian artists, a girl with amnesia and her doctor, an English scientist and his wife, and oddly assorted escapists. Komako, plantation cop, leisurely paces his way through doubleheader murder, when his friend Hasty Hoyt is accused. Value more scenic than action, though pace is good.
