THE LAVA FLOW MURDERS

Komako Koa (Murder Between Dark and Dark) placidly pursues a triple-killer while lava, flowing from a nearby volcano, threatens all staying at the Tucker ranch. A native tabu is broken and, apparently the goddess Pele, takes her vengeance, but Komako decides otherwise and hunts, stolidly, for the human agency of death. He is successful, but not before hid amanuensis loses faith in him. Unhackneyed setting.
