THE GROWING FAMILY

A Guide for Parents"" has been developed from pamphlets published by the Public Affairs Committee, realigns the balance from just the child-centered home to one in which parents have their privileges too. From having a baby, this goes on to bringing it up, and the various phases of progress and the problems they bring are handled: the very young child, the pre-school child, the 6-12 year old, the teen-ager. Discipline, sex education, mass entertainment media, democratic family living-offering the opportunity to choose and cooperate, mental health and marriage counselling all make up excellent guidance to which James L. Hymes, Evelyn Millis Duvall and Josette Frank, contribute their experienced opinions.
