FIDDLERS' FAIR

This was originally scheduled for April and reported in February (P.85). Another of her excellent regional stories of southeastern Tennessee, a feuding background and a friendship that eventually mends a quarrel. But it is the quaint mountain music with its essential folk values that gives the story its real flavor and is an integral part of tale in which Jim Saymore loses the music contest because of a faulty fiddle string sold him by his rival. The story ends on a happy note.
