LITTLE SISTER SU

I confess that this seems to me too too precious an item for wartime. A fairy tale for grown-ups, published in a format intended to suggest a book for a Chinese child, tall and thin and opening out like an accordion. The illustrations had, for my untutored eye, more feel of Japanese than Chinese art. Beautiful printing and reproduction job. And the author's name will focus attention on it.
