Perhaps a touch of sin gives a new spice to a Maysie Greig, but this seems a pretty involved puss-in-the-corner story, without much to recommend it, even for the Greig addicts. The background is a small English village, where Margie's love affair is smashed by a prospective sister-in-law, and where Margie gets back at her by winning the disillusioned, sophisticated man in the case. It takes a few drinks to get him -- but it is all in line with the course she has chosen.
