KIRKUS REVIEW

Maysie gone contemporary in a story of Paddy Riorden, secret service operator, whose front as Nazi sympathizer is so convincing that his fiancee believes him a traitor -- but still covers for him. He is sent to Germany, to do a Lord Haw Haw in reverse; she goes to Italy and falls into the hands of the Gestapo, is rescued and taken into custody by Riorden, and when she accidentally betrays him, they are cleared through the Underground and Paddy establishes his integrity. All's well that ends well.
