KIRKUS REVIEW

This isn't as successful as the animal book -- an unappealing standard selection of the most familiar and backneyed nursery rhymes printed on cloth. Dull, outmoded, with such details as bewigged gentlemen, long-haired boys and skirted bakers, suggesting the technique of the eternally popular Wright pictures but in this format appearing static and wooden. However, the Wright Mother Goose wins in each generation, so this will probably have comparable appeal.
