KIRKUS REVIEW

This is perhaps the tenth case (in book form) for insurance investigator, Milo March. This time the case involves a burned house, two bodies, presumably of the owner and his wife -- and as the facts are revealed, embezzlement from a firm as well. The insurance company stands to lose well over a cool million. In California March puts his head right into the lion's mouth in a succession of close calls, but manages to solve the mystery and to get some badly wanted figures in the world of crime. Slick -- touch -- sexy.
