MARIE ANTOINETTE'S HENCHMAN

Meade Minnigerode's previous books dealing with the ill fated queen, and the dauphin, and the period of the Revolution have appealed primarily to a female audience. This book seems to us more for men, as it is closely concerned with matters financial and political. Batz, defender of the royal family, was a financier, and much of the story is taken up with details of his calling and his contribution. Well written -- smooth reading.
