ADELLA MARY In Old New Mexico

Email this review

Here is a different type of pioneer story, with a child, brought up gently in St. Louis, and accustomed to dainty frocks and soft living, thrust into the adventures of the Santa Fe trail, and into responsibilities beyond her years in Taos, where her feather-brained mother is an invalid. The Mexican Wars and frontier disturbances introduce plenty of incident, and Adella Mary grows up.
