A darling cat story about a city apartment cat that was taken by conscienceless neighbors and presumably drowned -- and that made his way back to his heartbroken little master. The story of his escape from the sack and his adventures on the way back to the city are delightfully told, with a sympathetic -- but never a sentimental -- touch. A good animal story, with lots of incident, wholly credible. I've not seen the twelve black and white pictures by Jessie Robinson, but the text is so thoroughly pictorial in quality that they are sure to be an important factor.
