SALT WATER BOY

A story of the Coast Indians in California -- factual information woven into a slight tale of an Indian lad who wanted more than anything to explore the islands off shore, and of how, step by step, he learned all the things that were needful for survival when that time came when his little reed canoe was wrecked and he was stranded alone on the island. There he put his knowledge to work, he secured shelter and warmth and food until such time as he was rescued.
