AFRICA FOR BEGINNERS: A Travelers's Notebook by Melvin J. Lasky

AFRICA FOR BEGINNERS: A Travelers's Notebook

By

Pub Date: Sept. 26th, 1962
Publisher: Lippincott

This book is based on a series of articles written by the author after a several months' journey in Africa. It is written in Mr. Lasky's Individual, even poetic style, and records his impressions of that vast country. The author has done what few others have he has looked at Africa through his own eyes. The result is not only entertaining but highly educational. This is not another book of fragments about African politics and national movements. It is a book of almost casual insight. Though the book was meant for beginners, its freshness will satisfy the reader who knows Africa well. Highly recommended.
