HANDBOOK FOR YOUTH

This might be called ""America's Contribution to Youth"" -- for it is primarily a book outlining, in handbook form, the many facets of government activity in the service of youth. There is first an analysis of new fields of work, and new developments in old fields, and each department is studied from the angle of qualification, training, jobs available and futures. The bulk of the book deals with the government (federal and state) set-up on placement, security, guidance, education, health, recreation, housing, etc. An excellent bibliography for study, and a directory of agencies.
