KIRKUS REVIEW

Teen traumerei peaking into full womanhood -- fuller than most of us would care to acknowledge -- as Molly grows up and is first seen speculating about sex and all the various his-hers attachments which become more pregnant with significance and possibly other things after she falls in love with Joshua in high school. Molly lives in Florida, outside of Miami, and comes from a protected but not princessy home and you'll endure with her first period, and then its first terrible non-appearance (even if she and Joshua are saving themselves, well at least the last part of herself) But there are other troubles ahead -- particularly Joshua's parents who send him off to study in Rochester (though she was willing to quit school and support him) and the indifferent letters in between until finally he comes back to marry her so that ""Molly and Joshua begin to do what men and women have always done together"" and now Molly really knows. So should you.
