KIRKUS REVIEW

This is a superb collection of ""stills"" from the motion picture made in Palestine of Levin's novel My Father's House. Sell as a picture book of Palestine, with more than 200 photographs which animate the life, the landscape, the vitality of an old country remade. The accompanying narrative follows the thread of story- fairly closely tied to the novel in which the adventures of young David Halevi, victim of concentration camps in central Europe, seeks his lost family in the farms and factories, the youth colonies, the cities and the towns of Palestine, the promised land. A moving story.
