HERE COMES THE RECYCLING TRUCK!

The driver here may be unusual--she's young Elisa Seltzer; otherwise, this simple photo essay details a typical recycling scheme. Elisa drives ""Uncle Bud"" (her truck) around the wooded streets of Ann Arbor, stowing presorted paper, glass, and cans (no plastic) into appropriate bins and then unloading them at a recycling center: ""very hard work"" for which she wears protective clothing. The color photos here are a bit dark, but nonetheless attractive and informative; the book begins with a simple, lucid explanation of why recycling is important and concludes with some basic things to do. Useful.
