Slick and facile tales, purporting to satirize or photograph Mayfair, but from that angle one feels that they are done from outside looking in, and not quite to the manner born. Eccentrics all, suggesting a bit of Wodehouse, Noel Coward and the old Arlen (a person quite apart from his recent performances). Froth but fun.
