LET'S GO ON A SPACE SHUTTLE

It is fifteen years in the future and ""you"" and the three other regular crew members on board the space ship are carrying an orbital observatory into space. Chester describes your quarters, your trip to the cargo bay to replace a battery charging unit, the launching of the satellite, and your bumpy return home to wife and kiddies after monitoring its operation. But it all just drifts in a vacuum, with neither technological nor human specifics, and there is no indication of the mission's role in any program or even whether this sort of thing is now plan (whose?), projection, or pure speculation. And Micale's deadeningly nonspecific sketches certainly don't provide an anchor for wandering attention.
