A STRANGER AND AFRAID

An entertaining, masquerade, thriller entertainment, with Austrian-born Florian, now U.S. citizen and Army private, offered the chance to return to his birth-place and work for his new country as a spy. Accepting, he has his face and personality remade, and in Tunisia, accomplishes the ""escape"" from the British prison as an Austrian soldier, whose ""heroism"" and bomb ""invention"" (proved unsuccessful in the U.S.) sends him rapidly into highranking Nazi circles. There are difficulties in maintaining his impersonation -- military jealousy, friendship with an old love, contacting his Allied accomplices, -- but his zero hour comes when Nazi scientists make the bomb work. How he saves the bomb for the U.S., and brings doom to his enemies provides an exciting finale. Escape to adventure with this.
