KIRKUS REVIEW

A non-faddy approach to non-fatty fare counts calories- and makes a healthful most of them, along with some special recommendations for coronary cases- but the market is certainly much wider since, in a push-button age, less physical activity has resulted in more overweight at all age levels. Menus are planned-at both a higher and lower price level; there are gourmet meals; and most of the book provides individual recipes- from soups to sweets- which will add interest to the rigors of the regime. Both weight reduction and the maintenance of that reduction are considered. The audience is constant and calculable.
