Michael Lyne is one of those sportsmen blessed with a gifted pen and an appreciation of hounds and hunting, one of the happiest possible combinations. To the man who cannot sketch the priceless movements of the hunt these books are a delight for one gets endless pleasure out of their perusal. Each page serves to remind him of incidents with his own field and then he's off. There is no trance like the fox or stag hunter's dream. This type of book is always welcome at Christmas and usually runs short as only a certain number are imported. This is the first of the crop to arrive. We only hope the others will live up to the high mark it has set.
