Wibbly Pig is a rather lovable figure, a naked little pig with a round tummy who runs around with his big ears flopping, just about the age of his intended audience. This book, in which he demonstrates what he can draw and paint, is part of a series that also includes Wibbly Pig Can Dance! (ISBN 0-307-16626-0), in which he bounces and sings; Wibbly Pig Opens His Presents (16627-9), in which gift-wrapped boxes reveal toys and candy inside; Wibbly Pig Can Make a Tent (16628-7), which is about other building projects, too; Wibbly Pig Is Upset (16629-5), in which his ice cream lands in the sand; and Wibbly Pig Likes Bananas (16630-9), in which Wibbly's likes are touted. All the books encourage different forms of audience participation: ``Wibbly Pig can dance! . . . Can you? And he can bounce! Can you bounce?'' The text is soft-boiled, written out as if with a pencil, in large clear letters that children will be able to pick out and identify. Each volume is short and sweet. (Board books. 2-4)
