MELORA

Anne Wystan, second wife of Brent, a lawyer, is left alone in their Fifth Avenue house to face threats of death. On her possible list is Brent's niece Daphne, then Daphne's mother, and possibly the lover of Melora, Brent's first -- an unexpectedly appealing -- wife. The snowstorm, dead telephones, the infringement of Brent's identity case, and a vanished maid -- all compound to brew up a rough time for Anne. Fear naught.
