KIRKUS REVIEW

The Chicago lake front is the backdrop for the tangle in which Sewal becomes involved when Reg brings home his foreign bride. Reg's death, his widow's high-handed treatment of his sister and the family shipping line make Sewal a helpless victim. She tries to be honest with Captain Waggon but not at the expense of protecting the man she loves and is nearly the next corpse as a result. Well-groomed.
