CALL AFTER MIDNIGHT

A divorcee suspected of collusion in the murder of her successor finds her ex-husband's business and his associates pursue her, as does death. But Jenny Vleedam is championed by John Calendar's sturdy faith in her and through his efforts she avoids continued attempts to kill her- and the final attack. The everydayness of New York City and its suburbs add a plus here for ladies's escapism.
