Skip Ashley's callow, semi-literate editorial headlinks and treat yourself to nine of the best robot stories in the last 40 years. Clifford D. Simak's faithful robots down on the old plantation, Murray Leinster's mechanical ""logic"" handing out free advice to would-be wife-murderers, Brian Aldiss' social strata of programmed intelligence, L. Sprague de Camp's gaggle of half-stoned robot bums--there really is something here for everyone. Any anthologist who can come up with a collection like this should be able to string it together in better English.
