KIRKUS REVIEW

A fragmentation of unknown and unsuspected facts fills in the past when the automobile accident which takes the life of Selwyn Buoman, whom everybody loved, revives the twenty year old murder of a banker- whom everybody hated. The slow seepage of forgotten-and hidden- details provides the chain of evidence to which the villagers of Little Forks contribute, splinters a fallen idol, and lends a curious, cumulative suspense. Neat.
