SEARCH THROUGH PIRATE'S ALLEY

A warm, spicy mixture of a Pirate Pastry Shop, a hidden will, a charming New Orleans family, an ex-Pirate candy huckster, and two adventurous children, Pierre and his younger sister Collette. The whimsical grandfather, plotter for Napoleon's escape from St. Helena; Lafitte, the famous pirate; and a fabulous old desk that conceans the hidden treasure miraculously discovered by Pierre and Collette just in time to save the family home, add up to a story that will hold girls and boys from 11 to 14. The New Orleans setting is not quite of today -- but reminiscent of blue velvet gowns and jewels, Mardi Gras carnival and old gold pieces.
