KIRKUS REVIEW

Helterskelter Norrie daydreams most of the time, makes up stories (she would like to write) and always expects something exciting to happen. Sometimes she's disappointed but she shrugs it off. She is fired from her old job and instead of getting a chance to write for the local paper, is hired to sew dolls' dresses for a doll restorer; she goes around with Rich ""a good steady boy"" who will win a science fellowship although the money for Norrie's college career is problematical; she is momentarily taken with Craig Balfour III and his name is the tip-off, and she finally helps solve a jewel theft with the diamonds hidden just where you knew they were all the time... A splintered story line (certainly not Mildred Lawrence's best) but Norrie babbles and bubbles and burbles cheerfully so that girls will like her.
