A registered nurse, columnist in the Philadelphia Inquirer, and mother of twins, writes a minor if pleasantly, practically angled book on first months with first babies. Month by month (with occasional straying from the point),- the basic elements of feeding, training, clothes, equipment, development, along with housewifely hints as to how to give ""Dad"" his dinner (recipes too), how to keep your house clean. Once again, this reader was irritated by the offspring being designated as ""baby"" -- but for those who don't mind the soft soap, this is adequate in coverage, though not comparable to the authoritative books in the field.
