Sluggish Arnold of Scotland Yard, helped by the more inspired amateur, Merrion, solves the murder of a London real estate tycoon, murdered in a vacant apartment. Fine grained evidence sifting, small cast of suspects in the slow, sure, and a little stuffy English manner. The solution un-English and unfair to reader. Not too good.
