THE HARLEQUIN MOTH: Its Life Story

Here's a unique chance to watch the metamorphosis of the harlequin moth, which lives on milkweed plants, sheds five times as a caterpillar (looking more each time like a shapeless, miniature sheepdog), weaves a cocoon and finally emerges as an adult moth with small folded wings that are soon pumped up to full size. All these changes, plus what goes on inside that cocoon, take place here in plain sight, and sometimes in full color. Another efficient Selsam/ Wexler collaboration--and for our money moths are far more exciting to watch than carrots.
