FAST IS NOT A LADYBUG

An engaging play on the concept of speed takes the form of comic pictures by Leonard Kessler and the author's running comment about what things are ""fast"" or ""slow"" in relation to ""you"". Progressive pictures show that a dog, a horse, a train, and a jet, a rocket, lightning each go faster than the one behind and of course, all are speedier than the little boy trailing along at the last. And, the downward scale for slow things end harmoniously on the lowest note- growth, with the idea that it's nice to know we can go slow. E-e-e-sily down our alley.
