Another animal story with a growing-up theme (see When Will the World be Mine?- 1953) has the same warm and positive qualities as the author's former ones. In Africa two elephant calves who wander from the herd are rescued from a lion by an old lone bull. Seriously, he tells them if they want to live alone, as he does, they must decide for themselves when they are older.
