LITTLE RED NOSE

Again Miriam Schlein's imaginative portrayal of young human feeling strikes a note familiar to everyone. In the night, a little boy wakes, looks about his room and out the window. He senses something is happening but is unable to figure it out. The ""something in the air"" eludes him until morning when he helps his father plant the first garden seeds of the year. While working, he's burnt by the sun on the tip of his nose and knows that spring has come.
