How the littlest, left-outest piglet leads the others home, and learns in the process to shove and nip with the best of them. Tired of being pushed Out of place at the feedbox and the mudbath, the little piglet wanders around, speaking to a cow, a chipmunk, and a goat, but finding that none of them will share their food with a pig. Then a bluejay directs her to her siblings, who have gotten lost hunting for her, and the little piglet has her day. It's a workaday story, with an outcome both unrealistic and unattractive. And though Morrill's black pencil drawings are superior notebook sketches, they don't sufficiently sharpen the story.
