A simple idea is brought to life in a wordless book with the renowned illustrator's usual fine sense of design: cut pages representing a pair of child-sized hands are alternated with torsos of various figures, so that the time-honored game is actually played as the hand-page is flipped back and forth. The stylized figures (except for the first, which may or may not be a rabbit) will be easily ""read"" by babies; some are paired (dog, cat; lion, tiger; mother, child) but others are miscellaneous (man, pig; clown, Santa). Attractive and enjoyable.
