THE SMARTEST MAN IN IRELAND by Mollie Hunter

THE SMARTEST MAN IN IRELAND

Pub Date: Sept. 24th, 1965

When Patrick Kentigern Keenan first insisted ""I'm the smartest man in Ireland,"" he was more likely the most foolish. Determined to prove his claim by stealing riches from the fairies, Patrick was tricked every time. He always got some small prize, though, and in the end he proved that he had indeed grown wise by using his magic gifts to rescue his son from the home of the fairies. Written in a brogue you could swat with a shillelagh, the stories are convincingly Irish, jaunty and fey.
