PLANT PRUNING IN PICTURES

A companion volume to Plant Propagation in Pictures -- this is intended for the experienced gardener, not for the beginner. The principles are here; the basic information on tools and how to use them; a few hints on grafting, specialized pruning (for such things as espaliers, topiaries, bonzai), and then- in their different categories, specific instructions are given as to when- how -where- why or why not- to prune. An almost impossible book to report without the illustrations which include some 321 black and white half tones and 78 linecuts with accompanying captions that together make this a how-to book, basic for the serious gardener.
