PRETENDERS' ISLAND

Jane was sent out of London in 1940 with her governess to Little Pottering, a quiet village which was soon swamped with other little Londoners. She led a pretend life with lots of babies on her own secret island. Her privacy was destroyed by the ""Invaders"" and many ""pretends"" became real. Girls who like stories about real children would probably enjoy this.
