HERE'S HOW TO PLAY MONEY GOLF

How not to flunk the course, in a very mild adaptation of Potter's The Theory and Practice of Gamesmanship, instructs the player to whom a small wager is part of the game on methods of insuring steady profits. Besides definite playing advice on care not to worry, disregarding the score and playing the course, rituals and actions for confidence, how to read a hole, etc., there is much of the need to flurry your opponent and let him beat himself. The devices of flattery, criticism, help, and keeping him worried are definite Potterisms, without his unholy glee, and the earnest golfer may herein learn to make the best of his own weaknesses while making the worst of his competitor's. A pleasant variation on a well-covered sport.
