MASTERING THE PISTOL by Morris Fisher

MASTERING THE PISTOL

By

Publisher: Putnam

The ""Rifle Wonder"" writes this time on the pistol, which he says he had to master himself before he could teach others. He proves that he was not a ""natural"" but had to practise and persevere, holding out hope for the average man or woman to become good on the range. He goes step by step with novice or coach, through each phase of training, and all the attendant problems. There's a somewhat ironic chapter for peacetime officers! Both this and the previous book on the Rifle are excellent, inexpensive, informative. Get your local sporting goods store to give you lists of state pistol and rifle clubs; find out which schools have training corps; check national guard lists. This should be of current interest, and borrowed stock (with credit card), borrowed medals from local enthusiasts, plus the books, will make a good display.
