SAMPLING IN A NUTSHELL by Morris James Slonim

SAMPLING IN A NUTSHELL

By

Pub Date: April 26th, 1960
Publisher: Simon & Schuster

A U.S. Air Force statistician (part of the material on which this book is based was originally written for their Statistical Services Technical Letter) has explained probability sampling at not ""too stratospheric"" a level with an explicit audience in mind, business and government executives, market research men, accountants and auditors, teachers in colleges and business schools. While it is consistently informative and instructive, it is also occasionally entertaining, and discusses the accuracy and application of probability sampling; pollsters and prognosticators who give a ""reasonably good picture""; the mathematical techniques of sampling (more bewildering to the general reader); and case histories of sampling today. The market defined should be realized.
