KIRKUS REVIEW

Two efficient non-fiction authors (see Restless Earth. Planet Earth. The First Book of Science Experiments, etc.) combine talents again for an extensive and well planned elementary survey of the heavens through time and space. Colorful coverage of the Earth and its outstanding characteristics - gravity, the seasons, etc., sets the stage for noting the other bodies in the solar system. The wonders of the sun spots, the still moon, Saturn's rings- follow. Reaching further, there are the stars and, with them, the tools man has used to gain knowledge and may yet use to reach the stars.
