PROBLEMS FOR THOMISTS

Believing that all philosophical problems were not resolved by Aristotle or St. Thomas Aquinas, Mr. Adler proposes a few which he feels Thomists may discuss and possibly answer. The particular field which he probes is that of the order and constitution of natural species, and in his investigation he closely correlates the recent discoveries of modern science and the traditional philosophy of nature. Mortimer Adler, Professor of the Philosophy of Law at the University of Chicago, and author of How To Read a Book, is a challenging scholar and philosopher. The preface by Jacques Maritain will lend wider interest to the book which should appeal to all students of Philosophy as well as Thomists.
