An attack on ""progressive education"" stems from the author's years of study and his firm belief in a liberal arts education. To illustrate the contention that the present movement in American education is a deliberate design for the decline of disciplined knowledge, there is clear evidence for the decline in learning. It is supported by important educationists who support adjustment rather than knowledge, want to teach trades, popularity and integration per se rather than history, science or the languages. Cited examples are amazing and far less of them than named here would be frightening.
