SKATING TODAY

Football, baseball, basketball, golf -- and now ice hockey (and figure skating):- each covered in story form, with authentic factual background, as first sports stories for third and fourth graders...Joe and his sister, Carol, are ice fans -- Joe's ambition is to be a ""goalie"" and Carol's to learn figure skating. But its through their small brother, the Worm, and his unenviable capacity for getting himself and everyone else into dangerous situations, that they meet the people they need most to know. Troubles evaporate, however, and friendships remain. Ice hockey is made clear and interesting through a real game, and good standards are upheld.
